選挙が有りました。これからどう成りますか? Well, we have had the election, so what now?


First of all, I must say that I have never seen a Japanese election with so many irregularities. 

まず、この多数の異常が有った日本の選挙を初めて見ました。

Many strange things have happened, such as something like one third of Japanese polling places closing early.

色々な異常が有りました。例えば、投票所が早く閉まりました。

I think that the new government should be clear in addressing these rumors.

新しい政権が、この噂をはっきり説明した方がいいと思います。

What worked before to power the Japanese economy, won't work any more.  We must find new ways to live.

以前、日本経済の原動力となった政策は、これから役に立ちません。新しい生きる方法を探す必要が有ります。

As far as changing the Constitution, I do not think it is an immediate problem.  To me, Japan has a competent Army, Navy, and Air Force.

憲法を変える事について、すぐ必要ないでしょう。実は、日本は有能な陸軍、海軍と空軍が、有ります。

I think priority should be given to building more submarines, developing VTOL aircraft for the Ise and Hyuga, and a replacement fighter jet for the Air force.

これから日本がもっと潜水艦を造るべきで、海軍の伊勢と日向型護衛艦の垂直離着陸機を開発して、それと、空軍の新しい戦闘機を開発するべきと思います。

I do not think we can wait for America to develop the F-35.  We should very quietly develop our own aircraft.

アメリカのFー35を待つ事も出来ないと思っています。非常に静かに、自分達の軍機を開発するべきでしょう。

For example, the American Osprey is being manufactured in 40 states.  61% of American territory is in extreme drought, with evacuations likely in the next two years.

例えば、アメリカのオスプレイは40州で造っています。アメリカの領土の61%が、深い干ばつに入っています。これからの2年間で避難する人達は、その州から出るでしょう。

That means that factories manufacturing critical components for the Osprey are likely to lose personnel, and be abandoned.

その意味が、オスプレイの大切な部分を造っている工場は工員を失って、放棄されます。

And we should build a combination Marine/Airborne division.

それと、その海陸両用部隊の師団を創るべきです。

China has become a problem.  I do not want war with China.  But if China pushes the Senkaku issue, then we must fight.

中国は問題に成っています。私は中国と戦争をしたくないです。しかし、中国が尖閣諸島で圧力をかけたら、戦うべきです。

But we should try to find a way to prevent this.  The only way I can think of right now is a combination of carrot and stick.

こう言う事を始まる前に、戦争を止める方法を見つけなければ成りません。今、アメとムチの組み合わせしか考えられません。

The primary reason for Chinese aggressiveness about the Senkaku islands is a serious need for energy.  I have written extensively about American collapse.  Actually China is facing many similar problems.  Perhaps we can offer to help them develop Methane Hydrate, and to sell our Methane Hydrate at a reasonable price?

But the conflict might not end with Japan defeating a Chinese assault on the Senkaku islands.  It could go on for a long time.

しかし、中国の尖閣諸島の攻撃の敗北で、戦争が終わらないかも知れません。長く成る可能性が有ります。

In such a war, we would be bound to lose a portion of our Navy.  I have written much about American domestic troubles due to drought.

そう言うな戦争で、日本の海軍の何隻かの軍艦を失うでしょう。私は、このブログで、アメリカの国内干ばつの事をよく書いています。

I do not think we can count America being able to maintain Naval and Marine forces in Japan more than a few years into the future.  They will simply be pulled back home.

アメリカは、米海軍、米海兵隊の日本滞在が続く事が、後数年しか出来ないでしょう。本国まで撤退されるでしょう。

In the post America era, Our Navy will be very precious for the safety of Japan.  Thusly, we should try to avoid sacrificing a number of vessels and personnel for something so small as the Senkaku's.

アメリカ同盟後の時代に、日本の安定の為にとても大切に成ります。それで、出来るだけ、尖閣諸島の様な小さい問題で、数隻の軍艦を犠牲しない方が良いです。

Yet it is Japanese territory, we must let the Chinese know we are serious.  And do NOT believe Americans who say that The United States will defend the Senkaku islands.  These people are reporters and think tank commentators.

しかし、尖閣諸島は日本領土ですし、中国に我々は本気と言う事を言うべきです。それと、アメリカが尖閣諸島を守ると言うアメリカ人を信用しない方がいいです。ほとんどは、只の記者、シンクタンクのコメンテイターです。

President Obama has said that America is neutral.  The fact is, China is more important to America than Japan, and always will be.

オバマ大統領は、尖閣諸島についてアメリカが中立と宣言しました。真実は、アメリカの為にいつまでも日本より中国は大切です。

So if we are going to have war over the Senkaku's, it is best to plan on being on our own.

それでは、尖閣諸島で戦争が有ったら、日本は自分達だけで戦う事を考えた方がいいです。

Many young Japanese people that I know, expressed a strong desire to get involved in politics.

私が知っている数多くの若い日本人は、政治に関係したい気持ちを持っています。

I know many that voted in this election.  And many people have become involved in activism, demonstrating against nuclear power.

数多くの人々は、この前の選挙で投票しました。数多くの人々は行動主義に成って、例えば、原発反対デモに参加しています。

And I also know that many people are worried that the government will institute a draft.

それと、数多くの若い人々は、これより日本が徴兵制に成ると心配しています。

I have been personally told by friends in the military that this won't happen.  With Japan's low birthrate, it is not possible.

私の日本軍(自衛隊)の友達から、そうならないと聞いています。日本の少子化で、不可能です。

But all Japanese will have to think of themselves as one nation.  And do what they can do for the nation.  Is this patriotism?  I think so.

しかし、これから、日本人全員が一つの国民として考える必要です。それと、各一人が国の為に、自分が何を出来ると考えるべきです。これは愛国心ですか?私はそう思います。

In any case, food shortages will soon hit Japan.  We won't have enough.  We depend on America for a lot of our food, soon they will not be able to export any food to Japan or any other country.  They will not be able to feed themselves.  We must band together and cooperate to survive.

とにかく、食料不足は日本にまもなく来ます。絶対に足りません。私達の食料をアメリカに頼っています。まもなくアメリカは他国に食料を輸出する事が不可能に成ります。自分達にも食料が足りません。生存する為に、統一して、協力が必要です。

I think that the proper way to think of this is not simply military service, but national service.  Believe me, in the very near future, farmers and fishermen will be more important than soldiers.  People who have lost there job do to the rapidly changing world, can serve Japan as farmers and fishermen.

正しい考え方は、兵役ではなく、国家への奉仕です。近い将来に、農民、漁師は、兵隊より大切に成るでしょう。急に変化している世界のせいで、仕事を失っている人が、農民、漁師として国に仕えます。

I look at a lot of Japanese people, well, so many seem to be living in some kind of dream world.  We are going to have to wake up very quickly.  And work hard.

多数の若者を見ると、まだ夢の世界にいるみたいです。至急、さめた方がいいです。それで、これより一生懸命に働く事は大切です。

I have confidence in Japan's survival as a great nation.  But we must all work together.

私は、大国として日本が生存する事に自信が有ります。しかし、皆が一緒に協力しなければ成りません。

自民党の安倍総裁は、アメリカを分かっていません。陰謀説を信じてはいけません。 Abe Shinzo, President of the LDP, does not understand America. He should not believe crazy American conspiracy theories.


Recently, I read a website that referred to the LDP's home page, or a flyer.

最近、自民党サイトの事を書いたブログで、あるチラシを見つけました。

In the link above, Representative Abe, President of the LDP, a former Prime Minister, refers to FEMA.  He states that he would like to build camps for people who oppose National Policy, like FEMA does in America.

リンク先では、自民党総裁で元総理大臣であもる安倍氏が、アメリカのFEMA(米連邦緊急事態管理局)に言及しているとあります。アメリカのFEMA同様に、国家の政策に反対する人々を収容する強制収容所を作る積もりだそうです。



I am very sorry, but I must inform Representative Abe that he is very mistaken about this.  The thing is, Americans believe in many kinds of conspiracy theories.  In fact over half of Americans do.

申し訳ないですが、安倍総裁は間違っているというほかありません。多くのアメリカ人が陰謀説を信じています。アメリカの人口の半分以上です。

The election, and re-election, of President Obama has spawned an entire conspiracy industry.

These are supposed alien bases on the moon.  They are on the far side of the moon, so we can't see them from Earth.  US Astronauts who went to the moon are part of the conspiracy, and keep the secret.

These theories basically go that the foreign troops of the United Nations are going to invade America with unmarked Black Helicopters, and enslave Americans.

And if you are ever in party with Americans, please do not discuss the 9/11 attacks.  It seems that almost every American believes some sort of version of the story that 9/11 was a government run conspiracy.

So how do we know what is true?  I can disprove the first link about FEMA quite easily.

First of all, this picture in the link is strange.  What is strange?  Notice where is it is written that US and Russian troops will man a checkpoint.

There is NO WAY ANY American government will allow foreign troops power over Americans in an emergency.  Even if, for example, there was a serious emergency in America.  Let us say that a Japanese military unit was nearby, for some sort of joint training.  The American government might accept Japanese by the military unit in rescue work, but they would NEVER ask us to do riot control.

FEMA does have the trailers, the reason they are not being deployed to New York for hurricane Sandy victims is the Mayor of New York does not want them, he wants to do his own program for disaster relief.

This is not a secret government plot.  Governments are run by human beings, and sometimes they make mistakes.

FEMA is simply a government agency.  It is disorganized like any government agency, but it tries to do it's best.  It does not have any secret prison camps.

A person must be careful of a lot of things they find on the web coming out of America.  The average American is an ignorant idiot, and they print a lot of rumors as truth.  And those photos of Alien bases on the moon?

アメリカ人が書いた事をWebで読む時は、注意が必要です。平均的なアメリカ人は、無知で愚かです。沢山の噂を真実として流します。では、あの月に有るという、宇宙人の基地の写真はどうでしょう?

Well I think somebody has been busy with photoshop.

おそらく、誰かがPhotoshopで頑張って作ったものでしょう。

I think part of the problem here is that the average Japanese is an honest person, and does not fabricate fantastic stories, and pass them off as truth.

この問題の一つの原因は、一般の日本人が正直で、空想的な話を作ったりしないことにあると思います。だから、真実として話が通ってしまうのでしょう。

Americans do that all the time.

ではアメリカ人はというと、いつもそんなことをしているのです。

ウィキリークスでTPPの真実を理解出来ます。


Facebookで、私の友達は、TPPについてのウィキリークス書類の翻訳を正しく直しました。私は勿論、英語のネイティブですから、英語の意味を直接分かります。私のブログのテーマは、基本的に、アメリカ崩壊です。

確かに、だんだんアメリカ崩壊が明らかに成っています。

ミシシッピー川最新情報 Mississippi river updates


At the end of last month, I reported that a large section of the Mississippi river was forecast to shut down to river barge traffic due to drought caused low levels.

先月末、干ばつで水位が低く成って、荷船にミシシッピー川の長い部分の閉鎖予想を書きました。

It was predicted that the river would drop to 9 feet, (2.7 meters) by December 10th.  Now a revised forecast says that that level will be reached by December 29th, and drop another foot (0.3 meter) by January 2nd.

12月10日までに、川は9フィート(2.7メートル)の水位に成る事を報告しました。それで、修正された報告で、その水位は12月29日に成って、来年1月2日までに後1フット(30.48cm)下がります。

The reason for this is not drought relief.

この理由は、干ばつ救済では有りません。


The Missouri river basin.

ミズーリ川の河川流域です。

What is happening is that water in the Missouri river flood plain is draining back into river.  This is because the Missouri river is at such low levels.

どう言う事ですが、ミズーリ川の氾濫源に有った水が、ミズーリ川に流れています。何故か、ミズーリ川の水位がとても低いです。

And this means further drying out of lands in the Missouri river basin.  If you look at the map of the Missouri river basin, we can see that this is some prime agricultural states of the US, half of Kansas, all of Nebraska and South Dakota, most of North Dakota and Montana.

この事の結果は、ミズーリ川の河川流域に有る州の環境を、もっと乾かします。ミズーリ川の河川流域の地図を見ると、アメリカの主要な農産業州、カンザス州の半分、ネブラスカ州とサウスダコタ州のすべて、ノースダコタ州とモンタナ州のほとんどが入っています。

There, the situation has become very severe.

そこで、状態はとても厳しく成っています。

Alternative transport, such as trains, are simply not available on such short notice.

その替わりの交通、例えば、列車、トラック、そんな急に利用は出来ません。

So there is a three week reprieve, and shipping companies on the river are sending as much cargo as they can.

日本の将来の為に、何が必要ですか? What does Japan need for the future?


We are now at election time in Japan.  Also, this is a time of great change throughout the world.  Global warming is now making an impact on how people live.  We can see this with more powerful storms, such as hurricane Sandy, and the American drought.

現在、日本で衆議院選挙が有ります。それと、世界中で大変化の時代です。温暖化は、今、影響が出ています。例えば、嵐は、ハリケーン「サンディ」が強く成っていて、アメリカの干ばつがだんだん厳しく成っています。

Yet it seems to me that many of the leaders of Japan's major parties are still living in the past.  They speak of the military alliance with America as the most important thing for Japan.

しかし、日本の主要な政党は、昔の時代の様な考え方をしているみたいです。よく、日本の一番大切なのは、アメリカと軍事同盟と言う事を発言しています。

What is truly important?  I will make a short list.

しかし、何が本当に大切ですか?とりあえず、短いリストを書きます。

Food 食料

The most important thing for a Japanese government to consider is food security.  Having studied American drought for some five years, this present drought is different.  We have now entered a era were the climate has permanently changed.

これからの日本政府を考えるに一番大切な事は、食糧安全保障でしょう。5年間でアメリカの干ばつを勉強して、現在の干ばつは以前の干ばつと違います。気候は、永遠に変わりました。

Yet it seems to me that so many Japanese leaders believe that Japan can continue to depend upon America for food.  No, we cannot.  Within two or three years, there will be starvation in America.  They will have no food to export to Japan or any other country.

しかし、数多くの日本のリーダー達が日本はこれからアメリカに食料を永遠に頼る事が出来ると思っています。無理です。2、3年以内に、アメリカ国内で餓死が始まります。アメリカは日本でも他の国々でも食料を輸出する事が不可能に成ります。

So what should we do?  This massive change in climate will also lead to a massive change in business and employment.  Many people will lose there jobs.  They will not be able to pay their mortgages.  The Japanese government should create an agency to move people to the country side.  There they will engage in farming.   There are many rice fields and dry fields that have been abandoned, are covered in weeds.  These fields should be revitalized.

日本はどうしたらいいですか?この気候の大変化で、商売と就職が大変化に成ります。仕事を失う人は多く成ります。住宅ローンを払えません。これからの日本政府は、地方へ人を移動させる事務局を作るべきでしょう。地方で、農業をします。利用されていない田んぼと畑はいっぱい有りますし、雑草ばかりです。この田んぼと畑は再活性化させるべきです。

An experienced farmer can be delegated to oversee the work of these "New People".  As far as housing, as much as possible, they should live with present farming families.  Rural houses are big.  In many cases, the children have moved to the larger cities.  The houses are nearly empty.

この”新人達”の働きは、経験豊かな農家の人々に支配されます。住まいは、出来るだけ、現在有る農家に住みます。地方の場合は、家が広いです。数多くの場合、子供達は大都市へ引越しをしました。その地方の農家は空家みたいです。

Yes, I realize there will be a lot of social friction.  Yet Japanese people are very used to the concept of Gaman, or being patient in a difficult situation.

これは、社会的な問題が出ると言う事が分かっています。しかし、日本人は”我慢”と言う事を分かっています。

And of course not only farming villages, people should be sent to fishing villages as well.

勿論、農村だけではなく、漁村へも人を送ればいいです。

It is of utmost importance that Japan make a crash program to become totally self sufficient in food production.

日本は食料生産で独立に成る政策を始める事が、一番大事です。

And foreign residents of Japan should be included in this program as well.  I know of many foreign people in Japan who have little employment.  Well, the English teaching industry has declined, and is full of people.  Nobody new is needed, people are being cut.

日本で永住している外国人も含めるべきです。私はほとんど失業の外国人をいっぱい知っています。まあ、英会話業界は下落したので、人がいっぱいあふれています。新人先生は必要なく、現在の先生はリストラされています。

The television business for foreigners is at an end.  There is just no need or interest in foreigners for the Japanese entertainment business. 

外国人を利用しているテレビ業界も終わりましたし、現在の日本の芸能界で外国人に興味がなく、必要もないです。

Yet there are many foreign residents who have Japanese spouses and children.  However without an income, they have come to depend upon their spouse's Japanese family for an income.

でも、この外国人永住者達は、配偶者、子供もいます。しかし、収入はなく、配偶者の親に頼っている場合が多いです。

Send them to farming and fishing villages.  If their Japanese language ability is poor, they should improve fast.  But sending them back to their home countries would be cruel.  In many cases, those home countries will be in serious crisis within a few years.

この人達を、農村、漁村へ送りましょう。もし日本語をあまり出来ない場合でしたら、すぐ覚えるでしょう。しかし、彼達を本国へ帰す事はひど過ぎで、その本国はだいたいまもなく餓死危機でしょう。

Energy  エネルギー

The major political parties of Japan seem focused on restarting nuclear power plants.  However, the dangers of nuclear power in a country that has frequent earthquakes has been clearly demonstrated.  And in any case, uranium for fuel for nuclear power plants comes from foreign countries.  We are not energy independent.

日本の主要政党は、原発の再稼働を集中しているみたいです。しかし、地震がよく有る国の原子力発電所の危険性は、日本ではっきりと見えます。とにかく、ウラン燃料は外国から来ます。この事はエネルギー独立では有りません。

At the moment uranium comes from America.  However, within a couple of years, I think the social situation in America will collapse so badly, I doubt in the American ability to export uranium.

現在、日本はアメリカからウランを輸入しています。近い将来に、アメリカ国内崩壊で社会的な状態が恐ろしいでしょうし、アメリカがウランを輸出する事が不可能でしょう。

It may be necessary to keep a few nuclear plants running for research purposes.  But there must be stringent investigations done concerning the geography of the sites involved, and their susceptibility to earthquakes.  In this regard, OI, in Fukui, is extremely dangerous.  It is right on top of several fault lines.  And there must be constant unannounced safety inspections and drills

Japanese manufacturing companies, in particular automobile manufacturers, seem entranced by TPP.  They think that unfettered access to the American market will bring them great profitability.

Well first of all, even though Americans are demanding unfettered access to Japanese markets with TPP, as much as possible they will not allow Japanese cars into the US.  Believe me, I was born in America, I know how they think.  They will make exceptions for themselves while not allowing anyone else exceptions.

まず、アメリカ政府がTPPでアメリカ企業の為に日本市場へ自由のアクセスを要求していて、出来るだけ日本の車をアメリカに入れない様にします。私を信じていいです。私はアメリカで生まれ、アメリカ人の考え方を分かります。自分達の為に例外を作って、他国に”例外なし!”と、強制的な要求をします。

In any case, the time of gasoline powered automobiles is over.  Japanese companies should concentrate on electrically vehicles.

とにかく、ガソリンで走る自動車の時代は終わっています。日本企業は、電気で走る車を集中するべきです。

And with the decline in world wide oil reserves, we should concentrate on renewable energy.  This means solar, wind, and tidal power.

世界中の原油生産の下落で、再生可能エネルギーを集中するべきです。これは、太陽、風力と潮力です。

With the decline of oil, we will also see a decline in world trade.  This is simply because merchant ships and commercial aircraft need oil based fuels.

原油の下落で、世界貿易も下落するでしょう。この理由は、貨物船、民間航空機は原油から出来た燃料を必要です。

Well biofuel development for aircraft is still in it's infancy, I don't think commercial aviation will survive the near future.

But I think there can be an excellent future for merchant ships powered by a combination of electric engines and sail.  A ship has a lot of flat surfaces, excellent space for solar cells.

If Japan innovates in this way, Japanese merchant shipping will be the leading carriers of world trade in the near future.  With the creativity and intelligence of Japanese engineers, this should not be difficult to accomplish.

As I have written, no.  If China attacked a Japanese island, the Japanese military could destroy the invading Chinese forces without help from America.

Japan has wasted a lot of money on expensive systems from America, that don't work.  Well, as I have written, for the last several decades, America has produced many expensive weapon systems that don't work very well.

The only way to truly defend against missile attack is to have your own missiles for counter attack.  Japan relies on American missiles for counter attack at the present time.  But we could easily build missiles of our own if we wished.

ミサイル攻撃の防衛方法は、一つです。自分達のミサイルで反撃する事です。現在、日本は反撃の為にアメリカのミサイルに頼っています。しかし、その希望が有ったら、すぐ自分達のミサイルを作る事が可能です。

The thing is, China is highly unlikely to make a direct attack on Japan.  War would only come after much difficulty and trouble between the nations, and the Chinese government did not even protest the arrest and deportation of people who landed on the Senkaku islands in August.

真実は、中国は直接に日本に攻撃をしないでしょう。戦争は、両国は沢山の問題とトラブルが有ってから可能かも知れません。しかし、この前の8月に、何人かの中国人が尖閣諸島に上陸して、それで日本政府がその中国人を逮捕して、そして追放して、中国政府は何の異議をしませんでした。

So how should we proceed with the Japanese/American relationship, if Americans are not needed for the defense of Japan?

それでは、もしアメリカ兵は日本を守る為に必要がなければ、日米関係はどう進んでいいですか?

First of all, we should stop saying the words, "Military Alliance".  We should say something like  "Military Cooperation".

まず、”軍事同盟”と言う言葉を辞めましょう。”軍事協力”みたいな言葉を使った方がいいです。

America is fighting many wars around the world.  The bases in Japan are very necessary to support these fights.

アメリカは世界中で数多くの戦争を行なっています。その戦争を行なう為に、日本に有る基地は必要です。

Frankly, I do not agree that the Afghan war is necessary, or that America needs to be fighting in Africa.  And I am very much against a war with Iran, it is not in the Japanese national interest.  It would destroy the Japanese economy, and America is in such a mess financially, that help from them is impossible.

正直に言うと、私の意見で、アフガン戦争は必要なく、アフリカで戦争も必要ないです。私はイランと戦争する事を、とても反対です。日本の国益に成りません。日本経済を壊します。アメリカの経済状態はひどく、日本にヘルプを出来ません。

Also, while it is true that China is very unlikely to attack Japan directly, there is possibility of war in the South China sea.

それと、中国は直接日本に攻撃をしないけれど、南シナ海で戦争の可能性が有ります。

Without American help, Japan could send some Naval force there, but it would stretch our forces thin.  Here is one place where US forces could help.

アメリカがいなくても、日本は何隻の軍艦を送る事が出来ます。しかし、日本の周りの海、南シナ海両方を守ると、日本海上自衛隊の軍艦数が少ないです。これで、アメリカ海軍が役に立ちます。

However, in any possible war, we must be careful with America.  They have just lost a war in Iraq, and are losing a war in Afghanistan.  They very much want to show that they still have power, and could be very aggressive and provocative against China in the South China sea.

しかし、どんな将来の戦争でも、アメリカを注意しなければ成りません。イラクで戦争を負けたばかりで、アフガンで戦争を負け中です。アメリカはまだ自分達が強いと見せたく、南シナ海で中国についてとても攻撃的と挑発的に成るでしょう。

As the Chinese are already being provocative with their military, the result could be a war which would be a disaster. 

現在、中国は挑発的ですし、気を付けないと結果が災害的な総合戦争です。

The ideal solution is for Japan to take the lead, and organize a political "Semi Alliance" between Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and the Philippines.

一番いい提案は、日本が裏でベトナム、マレーシア、シンガポール、ブルネイとフィリピンで、”準同盟”を作る事です。

America should stay in the background here, but the American military power will always have an effect.

ここで、アメリカが黒幕で、しかし、アメリカの軍事力が影響を有ります。

And actually, the only bases really necessary would be Kadena, Yokota, Yokosuka, and possibly Atsugi.  Misawa is not at all useful.  The Marines are not needed to defend Japan or Korea.  If they must be in Asia, putting them in Malaysia or the Philippines makes more sense.  The only trouble spot where they might be needed is in the South China sea.

それでは、アメリカが本当に必要な基地は、嘉手納、横田、横須賀、もしかしたら厚木です。三沢は必要有りません。日本と韓国を守る為に、米海兵隊は必要有りません。アジアにいる場合、マレーシアかフィリピンにいる事は、もっと常識です。本当に米海兵隊の必要の可能性が有る場所は、南シナ海です。

However I do think that Japan must be careful about getting involved in American wars around the world.  America always supports Israel in the MIddle East, no matter how many awful things Israel does to the Palestinian people.

しかし、世界中のアメリカ戦争に、日本が参加する事について、要注意です。中近東で、イスラエルはパレスチナ人にどんなひどい事したでも、アメリカがいつもイスラエルを支持します。

The recent vote at the UN on Palestine shows how isolated America is on this issue.

最近の国連パレスチナについての投票で、この問題でアメリカが世界にどの位孤立している事をよく分かります。

By agreeing to collective defense with America, America would then soon demand that we send Japanese armed forces to some foreign land, to fight for their interests, at our own cost.

アメリカと集団防衛を同意すると、アメリカが日本にどこかの国に日本兵を派遣する要求をします。日本兵はアメリカの国益の為に戦い、日本はその派遣費を全部払います。

This could well damage Japanese interests.  We have no need for such a deep military relationship anymore, the world has changed.

これで、日本の国益が傷に成る可能性が有ります。これより、アメリカとその深い軍事同盟が必要有りません。世の中は変わりました。

These are only three areas to consider out of many complex problems.  But I think they are important.

この三つの問題は、いっぱいの複雑な問題から選びました。しかし、大切と思います。

アメリカの河川輸送はまもなく部分崩壊です。 Partial Collapse of American river transport


The American drought continues.  It has not been in the news very much lately.  Well, America has had a Presidential election.  As far as climate disasters, Hurricane Sandy was much more dramatic.

アメリカの干ばつは続いています。最近、あまりニュースに成っていません。まあ、アメリカは大統領選挙が有りました。温暖化災害について、ハリケーン「サンディ」の方はもっとドラマチックでした。

Reporting on drought is somewhat like reporting on the movement of a clock.  Slow and predictable.  However, the end result of the slide into drought will be much more devastating than a single Hurricane.

干ばつについて報道する事は、時計の動きをすると同じです。ゆっくり動き、動きの予想を出来ます。しかし、干ばつの結果は、一つのハリケーンより荒廃はひどいです。

Bloomberg is reporting that a section of the Mississippi river is likely to close down around December 10th for shipping.

ブルームバーグ報告で、ミシシッピー川の有る部分が12月10日頃荷船の輸送の為に閉鎖されるでしょう。

The section that is in danger is from St. Louis to Cairo Illinois, the junction of the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.  I think that this would also mean that the Mississippi above St. Louis, and the Missouri rivers will also soon become too shallow for transport.

If the Mississippi is closed for that segment, about 290 kilometers of river, it will have a serious effect on America's ability to export grain.

もしミシシッピー川がその部分を閉鎖されると、川の290キロ位、アメリカの農作物の輸出可能性に大きな影響に成ります。


Looking at the photos above, we can see that the drought has serious implications for the river.  The photos are from last August, they show barges waiting for the river level to rise.  They also show how big sandbars have become due to the low water.

上記の写真を見ると、干ばつのミシシッピー川の大変な影響がすぐ分かります。写真は8月で、いっぱいの荷船は停泊して川が上がる事を待っています。写真で、砂州が広く成っている事もよく見えます。

But the situation has not improved, since then it has gotten worse.  There are likely now to be shortages in Winter Wheat, which Americans use to make bread.

しかし、川の状態はよく成っていません。アメリカ人は食パンを作るのに使う秋まき小麦が来年も不足でしょう。

The US government predicts the drought lasting at least through February. 

アメリカ政府の予想で、2月でも干ばつは厳しいです。

What this means is that there is not going to be any winter precipitation that could relieve the drought.  The 2013 drought is now probably going to be as bad as 2012, or worse.  By fall of 2013, America will have a serious lack of food.  If America does not have enough food for itself, how can they export food to Japan?  If America is hungry, TPP makes no sense.

この意味は、干ばつをなくす冬の降雨がないでしょう。来年2013年の干ばつは2012年と同じくらいひどく、それでももっと厳しい干ばつに成る可能性が高いです。アメリカで自分達の食料は不足でしたら、日本に輸出する事が出来ますか?アメリカが食料を足らないと、TPPが意味が有りません。

As I have written, 60% of America's agricultural products are shipped by river.  Also 20% of the coal used by electrical power plants.  This lack of water transport will have a serious chain reaction effect on the US economy.

私が書いた様に、アメリカの農作物の6割は、川で運送しています。それと、電子発電所の石炭の2割が川で運送しています。川で運送が不可能に成ると、アメリカ経済に連鎖反応が出るでしょう。

People may say that America will find alternative ways to ship food to Japan.  But America's railway and road infrastructure is in a serious state, many roads, railways and bridges are near collapse.  America has simply ignored maintenance and building of new infrastructure for too long.

本当のチェンジは神様の気まぐれです。 Real Change comes by the Caprice of the Gods


We are in a time of great change.  Yet most people in the country of my birth America, and the country that I love, Japan, are still in denial about that change.  Or they don't understand it.

現在は、大変化時代です。しかし、私の生まれた国アメリカ、それと私の愛している国日本では、ほとんどの人はその変化を無視しています。それとも、その変化を理解していません。

I just saw a program featuring Ikegami Akira on TV a few days ago.  He was very optimistic about America.    In particular, I think the last part of the above show about Shale Gas and Shale oil was very misinforming.

数日前に、池上彰さんのテレビ東京「未来世紀ジパング」と言う番組を見ました。アメリカの事について、本当に楽観的でした。特に、その番組の最後の部分は、誤報を伝えています。

When he says that America can become an energy independent nation with Shale Oil, what he is doing, is engaging in wishful thinking.  Most people in both Japan and America do understand that there are things seriously wrong.  Both countries have economic troubles, and this year we have seen climate change devastate America in the form of drought and a massive hurricane.  Of Japan has had extensive flooding from large storms also.

The article's first sentence says "This is like a report from a Bizzaro world".  They seem so surprised that Saudi Arabia is running out of oil.  Yet I wrote about that last year.  Perhaps the people who wrote that article for the Huffington Post do not read the Guardian.

I must warn you, be very careful of Americans when they use the words "will be".  Very often, it does not happen.  In America, we do not believe people who use "will be".  We have a famous American phrase, "I'll believe when I see it."

本当に、アメリカ人が、"will be"(”成るでしょう”)と言う言葉を使う時に、気を付けて下さい!そう言う事に成らない場合が多いです。アメリカでは、"will be"(”成るでしょう”)の言葉を使う人をあまり信じません。もう一つのアメリカの話が有って、”結果を見たら、信じます”。

But I think in this case, too many Americans are placing their hope in that "will be" phrase.

しかし、この場合、その"will be"(”成るでしょう”)を信じたいアメリカ人が多過ぎます。

It is James Kunstler, an economist, who led to me to begin studying American collapse due to Peak Oil.

私は、経済学者ジェームズ・カンストラー さんを読んで、ピークオイルの勉強を始めました。

His basic premise is that, America cannot continue to exist with a gasoline powered automobile based transport system.  Also, he says America must return to the day when people lived in more concentrated cities and towns. There, it would be possible for people to walk to work, school, shopping, and so forth.

彼の基本的な議論は、アメリカはガソリンを利用している自動車の交通システムで存在を続けられません。それと、これからアメリカ人の生活がもっと集中している街と都市に戻る必要が有ります。そう言うな街と都市で、学校、買い物、仕事、全部が、人々が歩ける距離に有ります。

Presently, way too many Americans live great distances from work, shopping, and schools, and the only way to travel is by car.

現在、学校、仕事、買い物は全部長距離で、自動車で行くしかない生活を行なっているアメリカ人が多過ぎです。

Very soon, this will be impossible, oil will be too expensive.

まもなくこう言う生活が不可能ですし、原油は高過ぎです。

First of all, he says that oil must be at a price of $80 to $90 a barrel for shale oil drilling to economical.  But that price is already crushing the US economy.  Also, 40% of Shale Oil wells deplete after one year.  And the best spots for Shale Oil in the American West have already been used up.

まず、シェールオイルは経済的に成る為に、原油値段は一バレル$80から$90ではないと、意味が有りません。しかし、その高い原油値段がアメリカ経済を壊しています。それと、シェールオイルの井戸の40%は、一年後も使えません。それと、アメリカ大西部で、シェールオイルの一番いい所もとっています。

In the Great American Drought we are now experiencing, Shale Oil fracking operations are in competition with Agriculture for water.  There is not enough.

Looking at the map of America, it predicts that drought will continue.  That means little or no snow pack.  And that means further decline in agricultural production in America.  In fact, if next year is as bad as 2012, I don't think America will recover.  I think the change over to deep desert has begun.

このアメリカの地図を見ると、干ばつは続くと予想しています。その意味は、雪塊がほとんどないでしょう。それと、アメリカの農産業生産は、これからもっと下落です。やはり、来年は、2012年と同じような厳しい干ばつに成ったら、農産業は回復する事が不可能でしょう。私の考えで、アメリカ大陸が広い砂漠に変化する事も始まりました。

What I mean is, the Central US, the Great Plains states and the American Midwest, will in a few years look like the Sahara desert.

この意味は、中央アメリカ合衆国、大平原諸州、中部の州は、後数年間にサハラ砂漠と同じ様な風景に成ります。

This is change that is coming.  My research is based on scientific evidence, and research of historical weather trends.

その変化はもう始まりました。私の研究は、科学的な証拠をベースにしていますし、それと、歴史的に天候の傾向を勉強しています。

I do not think it wise to keep engaging in wishful thinking, that everything will be fine, we keep living as we have always done.

これから地球は大丈夫で、今までの生活を続いて大丈夫の様な夢想をよくないと思います。

Change is upon us, it won't be nice, most people on earth will not survive.

チェンジはもう始まっています。優しくないでしょうし、大多数の地球人は生存しないでしょう。

第1回勉強会で、TPPと日本の食料の将来について語りました。


野田総理大臣は、早速、TPPに参加したいと宣言しています。このTPPの一つの大きな柱は、農産業の事です。特に、日本はこれから食料自給率が下がって、食料の為にアメリカに頼ります。

しかし、ニュースを読むと、アメリカは大干ばつに入っています。2012年で、アメリカの農作物生産はかなり落ちています。メキシコは、自由貿易交渉でアメリカに頼る事に成って、現在、困っています。

メキシコは、将来のアメリカのトウモロコシを心配して、大量のトウモロコシを買っています。アメリカと自由貿易条約を結んで、メキシコの農家が農業を辞めて、工場で働く様に成りました。それでは、アメリカの干ばつで食料不足状態に入る危険性が有って、暴動が起こる可能性が有ります。

しかし、これから、将来、どう成るでしょう。残念ながら、科学的に干ばつの問題を勉強すると、これより世界の干ばつ、特に、アメリカの干ばつが、急に激しく成る事しかないです。

数多くの日本人はアメリカが強い国と信じて、どう言う問題が有っても、アメリカは頑張ってその問題の解決を見つけると思っています。

私はアメリカに産まれて、アメリカを見ると、アメリカ人はあまり一緒懸命に働かないし、現在の社会の問題に対してほとんど知識が有りません。

何故その数多くの日本人がアメリカを頼ると、日本の将来が安全と思っている事に対して、昔から不思議と思っています。

この真実を考えると、日本はアメリカとTPP(環太平洋連携協定)を結んで、大丈夫ですか?

私は、11月5日に、第1回勉強会で、この問題について語りました。
下記は、そのプレゼンテーションの内容です。

2008年夏で、干ばつの勉強を始めました。何故か、
オーキフェノーキー湿地の沼で火災が有りましたから。


オーキフェノーキー湿地の沼です。

私は子供の時に、有る漫画、"POGO"を大好きでした。POGOは、そのオーキフェノーキー湿地の沼で住んでいるフクロネズミです。これは、アメリカのベトナム戦争時代、それと、この漫画で出た文章はすごく有名に成りました。"We have met the enemy, and he is us."

昔から英語で決まりの文章は、"We have met the enemy, and he is ours."と有りました。この意味は、戦場で、我々軍が敵軍に会って、勝ちましたと言う意味です。

その漫画です。


この意味は、POGOと友達の動物のキャラクターが、オーキフェノーキー湿地の沼が人間が捨てたゴミで、生活が大変です。この言葉の意味が、人間が人間の最もひどい敵です。

ニュースで、このオーキフェノーキー湿地の沼は火災と読んで、びっくりしました。その時から、アメリカの干ばつの勉強を始めました。このジョージア州は昔から熱帯に近い地域ですから、どうしてその沼地が火災に成りますか?と思いました。

やはり、アメリカの東南地区の干ばつの原因は、アトランタ市のヒートアイランドと解決しました。

大きな証拠は、ハリケーンフェイでした。2008年に、アトランタ市の干ばつはとても厳しかったです。ハリケーンフェイで、干ばつが終わると言う望みが有りました。天気予報で、アトランタ市に直接当たるはずでした。

しかし、こう言うコースで進みました。この90度で回る事はおかしいです。原因は、アトランタ市のヒートアイランドです。

最近の 30年間は、各10年間が温度が高い記録に成っています。

雪塊(せっかい)は、英語でsnowpackです。
今年、雪塊はとても少ないので、ロッキー山脈のヒートドームが出来て、干ばつが東へ進みました。

虫は北へ移動していて、森林でも農作物への影響が有ります。今年は、アメリカで森林火事が記録です。森林が消えると、砂漠が広がります。

帯水層の水が減っています。アメリカのミシシッピー川の西の地域で、帯水層から農業の為に水を引き上げる場合は多いです。

ミシシッピー川で、貨物の運搬はだんだん不可能に成っています。

現在の干ばつで浅く成ったミシシッピー川です。下の写真の右側で、遊覧船が有ります。勿論、水がないから、動きません。


この浚渫船は、ミシシッピー川を掘っています。
この荷船一隻の荷物を運ぶトラックは、58台が必要です。上の写真の農作物は、トラックで運ぶと2,030台が必要です。アメリカ農作物の60%は、ミシシッピ川で港まで運びます。
この荷船は、少なくても9フィート(2.7メートル)の川の深さが必要です。上記の遊覧船の写真は、ミシシッピ州ビックスバーグ市で、川の深さは5フィート(1.5メートル)しか有りません。

浚渫船は頑張っていますけれど、農作物の運搬が遅れていますし、農場で腐っている農作物が多いです。

2012年農作物の影響:
トウモロコシ27.6%減少、大豆11%減少、ソルガム(モロコシ)25%減少の生産です。


将来にどう成るでしょう。

1930年代のダスト・ボウルで、500,000人が難民に成って、餓死した人々がいました。


現在の干ばつは、アメリカ全土の60%以上です。難民と餓死の人の数が、何千万人でしょう。これで、アメリカ政府、社会が破壊に成ります。



アメリカの畜牛、豚、家禽工場式農場場所です。現在の干ばつの深い所に有ります。水がないと、畜牛、豚、家禽の存在が不可能で、動物が死んでいます。2013年から肉の値段がだんだん高く成って、2014年までほとんどのアメリカ人は肉を食べられません。

アメリカ人は大量の肉を食べる事を当たり前と考えています。これから、干ばつで、肉を食べられなくなると社会混乱に成るでしょう。アメリカ側からでも、TPPは無理でしょう。


まもなくの将来の干ばつの予想です。地球の北半球で、日本とロシア以外はすべて砂漠に成ります。

日本の将来の為に、ロシアで農場を開発するべきです。

日本はまもなく和食を食べられない国になります。


このブログ記事のタイトルは、本当です。まもなく、醤油、味噌汁、豆腐などは、日本で珍しい食材に成ります。私の読者の皆様に、11月5日に勉強会を行なう事を発表しました。

米兵事件:シンガポール解決 Problems with American military personnel: The Singapore solution


Recently there has been another rape in Okinawa.  Frankly I am getting tired of constant problems with American military members.

最近、沖縄で、もう一つの米兵レイプ事件が有りました。正直に言うと、私はこの永遠の米兵事件にあきれています。

I know what I am talking about, I was a US Marine in Japan myself.  And for many years I worked in the television industry in Japan.  I was a casting agent to put foreigners on Japanese television.

私は、この問題をよく分かります。私は、昔、在日米軍海兵隊でした。数年間、日本で、外国人のテレビの為のキャスティング事務所で働きました。

I have to say it, but the truth is that American military and military family members are very selfish, arrogant, and unreliable.  The acted like wild baboons.  The officer class was different and tried to help with problems, but the average American military member was so much trouble that we stopped using them.

はっきりに言うと、米軍人と米軍人家族はわがままで、傲慢、信頼性がないです。野生ヒヒの様な態度をしました。士官の方は問題が有った時にヘルプをしましたが、普通の米軍人を使うと問題が多過ぎて、だんだんあきらめました。

Well Singapore has agreed to base 4 of the US Navy's newest warship type, the Littoral Combat Ship, in it's territory.

それでは、シンガポールは、アメリカ海軍の最も新しい軍艦、沿海域戦闘艦、4隻を、シンガポールの基地で利用出来る事をアメリカと同意しました。



But Singapore seems to be well aware of the problems with American military personnel.  All US personnel will be restricted to their ships while in port in Singapore.

しかし、シンガポールは米兵の問題をよく分かっているみたいです。アメリカの軍艦はシンガポール基地に停泊する時に、軍艦から降りる事を禁止で、監禁されています。

シェールオイルは空想です。 Shale Oil is a fantasy


Early in the summer of this year, I went to a friends party.  After the party I ended up in a bar in the Shinbashi district of Tokyo, with some of his friends.  As part of the conversation, I mentioned how America was in serious danger of social collapse because of oil depletion.

今年の初夏に、友達のパーティーに参加しました。パーティー後、その友達の友人数人と一緒に新橋の有るバーへ飲みに行きました。会話の中で、私はアメリカがまもなく石油枯渇で崩壊する危機が有ると言いました。

Out of the six people there, one became very angry, and said because of new discoveries in shale oil, America would be fine, even becoming an oil exporter.

その6人の中の1人が、私の話でとても怒りました。彼の話は、アメリカはシェールオイルの新しい発見で、アメリカがもう大丈夫ですし、これからアメリカが石油の輸出国に成るでしょう。

Well, I changed the subject, as it is not my custom to start arguments in bars.  I have learned that such arguments can lead to nothing good.

それで、私はすぐに話題を変えました。飲みながら喧嘩をする事をしません。私は昔からそう言う喧嘩が絶対に良い結果に成らないと学びました。

But concerning all the hype about America's new oil sources, it turns out I am very correct, tragically correct when we consider America's future.

しかし、アメリカの新しい石油源について、やはり私は正しいですし、本当に悲劇的に正しいです。

Shale oil has been known and understood for over 100 years.  Americans, when considering energy problems, refuse to face reality.  The reality is the entire concept of suburbs, where every person can have a private home, and drive their own personal gasoline powered automobile, have a large lawn, has become impossible.

シェールオイルは、100年前からアメリカ人が分かっています。アメリカ人は、エネルギー問題を考えると、現実的に考える事を拒否しています。現実は、アメリカン・ドリームで、各アメリカ人が郊外で個人の大きい一軒家、広い芝生、各個人が自動車を持つ事ができる生活、これは、もう不可能です。

There is simply not enough oil to support this lifestyle.  And many American families posses several cars, one for every family member.

こう言う贅沢な生活を、各アメリカ人が出来る様に支持する石油量はもう有りません。

The only solution to this problem is people living in apartments in towns and cities, and electric transportation, such as trains.  And population must be reduced.

石油がないと言う問題についての解決は、一つです。これからアメリカ人全員は町と大都市に住むべきで、交通は電気で動く、たとえば電車を利用します。それと、人口も減らす必要が有ります。

Americans have refused to give up their automobile based lifestyle.  The Iraq war was a desperate effort to control Iraq's oil, which failed completely.  America was forced to leave Iraq.

アメリカ人は自動車生活を諦める事を拒否しています。イラク戦争はイラク石油を支配する絶望的な試みでしたが、完璧に失敗です。アメリカは強制的にイラクから撤退されました。

The Shale oil boom, the drilling of Arctic oil, the offshore Brazilian oil fields were all supposed to be miracles which would allow America to become an oil exporter.

シェールオイルブーム、北極石油の掘削、ブラジル沖の海底油田が、全部奇跡に成るはずでした。この奇跡で、アメリカが石油の輸出に成る国の計画でした。

The miracles are all just fantasy.

その奇跡が、すべて空想です。

Now let us take a look at American drought on July 31st, 2012.

The geological location of the Shale Oil fields and serious drought in America overlap.  The reason this is a terrible problem is, on the average, it takes one to three barrels of water to produce one barrel of oil.

地理的に、アメリカのシェールオイルフィールドの場所と厳しいアメリカ干ばつの地域が重複しています。これが大変な問題の理由は、普通に、シェール油の1バレルの石油を生産する為に、水の1から3バレルが必要です。

Also, the link above estimates the amount of water needed to support the increased population that oil production would require.

それと、上記のリンクで、シェールオイルを生産する為に、専門的な労働者が増えて、この労働者が生活する為に、必要な水を見積りしています。

The answer is simple.  Such oil production has become impossible.  The only thing that can save it would be a great increase in rainfall.  But as we have seen in my studies of drought, the drought will intensify until agriculture is impossible, and it will be impossible for the present number of people to survive in those regions.

解決は、簡単です。そう言うな石油生産は不可能です。可能に成る為に、降雨がいっぱい増える事が必要です。しかし、私の干ばつの研究で、農産業が不可能に成るまでに干ばつが深く成ります。このアメリカの幅広い地域で、人間の生存が不可能です。

Further production of Shale Oil on any large scale is impossible.  It is fantasy.

これより大規模なシェールオイル生産は、不可能です。空想です。

A large part of all the excitement over Shale Oil comes from people who profit from it.  In the link below, it describes how one person became very wealthy leasing the land for Shale gas drilling.

シェールオイルの話題が大きな原因は、その関係の商売で利益している人達です。下記のリンクで、有る人が、シェールオイルが有る土地を貸して、大金持ちに成った方法を説明しています。

He buys and rents land all over the area where there are Shale gas formations.  Then he leases the land to people who do the actual drilling.

On page 2 of the link, in the 7th paragraph of the article, he mentions selling to Chinese speculators.  On page 4, in the 5th paragraph, it mentions that 80% of the Shale Gas wells cease production within 2 years.

In Michael Klare's article, he talks about Shell Oil's efforts to drill in the Arctic ocean failed this year because of weather conditions.  And a Brazilian court ordered Chevron to stop drilling in it's offshore fields because of leaks.

Since such Shale operations require operations with many wells over a large geographical area, this is serious.

Many Japanese people want to believe in America, that it will be there forever to protect us.  All we have to do to live prosperous lives is to imitate America.
