安倍総理大臣とアメリカのTPPの会談について Prime Minister Abe's American visit and TPP

Well Prime Minister Abe got his trip to America to meet with President Obama.

安倍総理大臣はやっとアメリカを訪問して、オバマ大統領と会う事が出来ました。

I am shocked at how terribly the American government, or perhaps is it President Obama personally, insulted Japan.

しかし、私はアメリカの安倍総理大臣への失礼な扱いをショックに成っています。これは、国の政策、それともオバマ大統領の個人的な気持ちかどうか、よく分かりません。

No State Dinner, only a last minute arranged lunch.  Nobody to meet our Prime Minister at the airport.  The American First Lady was "too busy" to meet with the Japanese First Lady.

公式晩餐会がなし、ぎりぎりで決まったランチしか有りませんでした。空港の出迎えはランクの低い人でした。アメリカ大統領夫人は日本のファーストレディに会いませんでした。理由は、”忙しい。”でした。

As far as the declaration about TPP, it means nothing.  All it says that America will think about Japanese needs in the future.

TPPの宣言について、意味が有りません。将来、アメリカは日本の必要な事を考えるしか書いていません。

It does not not promise anything.  To an American, it means nothing.  No American would believe such a statement guarantees anything.

はっきりの約束では有りません。アメリカ人は、この宣言を読むと意味がないとすぐ分かります。どんなアメリカ人でも、そのTPP宣言が約束をしていると信じません。

So in truth, on TPP, Prime Minister Abe achieved nothing.

TPPについて、残念ですが、安倍総理大臣は何も出来ませんでした。

Also, collective defense, an issue that was demanded by the US for a long time, has been rejected by President Obama.

それと、集団的自衛権、長い期間アメリカが日本に要求しましたが、オバマ大統領から拒否されました。

In fact, President Obama ordered Prime MInister Abe to be more nice with China.

There are some people who recognize that TPP is dangerous for Japan, but feel we must enter into it to keep American protection against China.

This is naive.  One, militarily, Japan can beat China in a war over the Senkaku islands, without US forces.  Two, American policy towards China and Japan is changing.

これは甘いです。まず尖閣諸島での戦争で、日本がアメリカ軍の協力がなくても勝ちます。それと、日本と中国について、アメリカの政策が変化しています。

Recently, I have read of Chinese proposals that China and Japan share the islands.

This is very dangerous.  To Americans, it would seem very logical.

これはとても危険です。アメリカ人にとって、論理的です。

I have to be very honest here, but the truth is, America has always been more interested in China than Japan.  The Cold War is over.  The Cold War relationship was a historical rarity.  Japan and America had cooperation. 

正直に言うと、昔からアメリカは日本より中国の方に興味が有りました。冷戦が終わりました。冷戦で日米協力は歴史的で考えると、非常に珍しかった。

Now that time is over. The truth is, Americans have never trusted or liked Japanese.  There have always been only two reasons for the American military presence in Japan.  One, is to project US military power around the world.  The second is to restrain Japan from ever becoming a strong power, and threatening American world dominance.

その時代がもう終わりました。本当の事は、アメリカ人は昔から日本人を信用していなくて、嫌いでした。日本国内でアメリカ軍がいる理由が、二つです。一つは、アメリカの軍事力を世界中に誇示する事です。もう一つの目標は、日本国力を抑えて、アメリカの世界支配の競争に成らない様にしています。

Well, they don't like or trust Chinese either, but they see a big market there.

まあ、アメリカ人は中国も好きではないけれど、中国は大きい市場と思っています。

TPP is designed to destroy the Japanese economy so that American firms can continue their massive profits.  There is no benefit for Japan.

TPPは、アメリカ企業の利益の為に、日本経済を崩壊すると設計しています。日本には利益が有りません。

Prime Minister Abe has eased import inspections for American automobiles in Japan.  And tariffs on Japanese cars being sold in America remain.  He is making concessions, but has received nothing in return.

安倍総理大臣は日本に輸入するアメリカ車の調査を優しくしますが、アメリカに入る日本車の関税が残ります。総理大臣は譲歩をしていますが、お返しに何も貰っていません。

You do not deal with Americans by trying to please them in advance.  If the situation does not suit us, we discontinue negotiations until it does.

交渉では、前からアメリカ人を喜ばせると、とても弱い立場に成ります。もしその状態が日本にあわない場合、しばらく交渉を中止した方がいいです。

That is the only way to deal with Americans.  If you are strong, they will respect you.

アメリカ人と取引する場合、その方法しか有りません。強かったら、尊敬します。

At this time, Americans certainly do not respect Japan.  President Obama has insulted both Prime Ministers Hatoyama and Abe.

現在、アメリカ人は本当に日本を尊敬していません。オバマ大統領は鳩山総理大臣と安倍総理大臣両方に失礼しています。

Then this means he has insulted the nation of Japan.

この意味は、日本国家に失礼をしています。

And we must be careful,  The American economy is collapsing and they are desperate. 

それと、これから要注意です。アメリカ経済はまもなく崩壊です。

One sign of desperation.  Because of the Sequester, 100 airport flight control towers will close beginning this April.  Many of them have commercial flights.

一つの絶望のしるしです。財政難が原因で、４月からアメリカ１００ヵ所の国内空港の管制塔は閉鎖します。この１００ヵ所の空港の中で、数多くの所が民間飛行便が有ります。

Flying into America will become EXTREMELY dangerous.  It will be at your own risk.

これより、アメリカで飛行機を乗る事はとても危険に成ります。

And here is the greatest danger to the Senkaku islands.  China knows that they cannot invade by military means.  But if they asked America to pressure Japan, in return for Chinese financial aid to America, we could lose the islands.

これは、日本の尖閣諸島を失う一番の危険性です。中国が軍事的に侵略を出来ないと分かっています。しかし、アメリカに経済援助の約束をして、その援助の”価格”はアメリカが日本に尖閣諸島の事で外圧をかけて、日本はその尖閣諸島を失う可能性が有ります。

Believe me, America will always follow it's own interest first.  The recent rudeness of the American government towards Japan shows me that this is already beginning to happen. They are placing more importance on China.

アメリカは絶対に自分達の国益を大切にします。最近の日本に失礼をしている事を見ると、アメリカ政府は日本より中国が大切とはっきり分かります。

In Japan, we must define what our interest is.

日本では、日本の国益を決めなければ成りません。
